ABOUT MY DEBUT NOVEL
My debut novel "Leaving Wishville" (featured in the illustration) is a 2021 Readers' Favorite Bronze Metalist. The story follows fourteen-year-old Benji Marino as he plans to escape from his small, dreary town. With time against him, leaving Wishville might be his only chance for freedom—but it may also cost him his life. Learn more:

To everyone who’s studying with this music:
    Checklist:
    • A bottle of water, at least 1liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate?

    • Your charger. You sometimes don’t even notice that your device’s battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time?

    • Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it’s a late night study session, you won’t wake up anyone?

    • a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕

    • Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone , a few pens, paper or whatever you need.⌨️

•Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy ?

Reminder:After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it’s cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me.
You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that’s even better than listening to music while reading the book.

I hope y’all had a good day, if not, that’s okay too. Remember to take care of yourself and try to get some sleep tonight ??

( This comment isn’t originally mine, but I think it can help a lot of people 🙂 )

      @Mary Bournazou Thank you Mary
I indeed wear glasses for distance only – I am near-sighted and can read and use iPhone without glasses – Occasionally I use Eye Drops when reading an actual book made of paper, however when reading from the iPhone or the iPhone Kindle app, etc that is more friendly to my eyes. I use the reverse setting whereas the background is black and the text is white – no eye strain or dry eyes or headaches – As others have stated, I drink water throughout the day – I once upon a time smoked cigarettes and have replaced that with always having a bottle of water that I sip to satisfy the oral fixation habit that many smoker’s develop from either smoking or during infancy (thumb sucking) To those that require reading glasses I’d listen to Mary’s advice and add that it’ll be in your best interest to buy reading glasses made with the best quality lenses you can afford – those sold in the neighborhood drug store for a few bucks are good enough to read a menu or check a receipt before signing meaning good for small doses – But for extended uses, like reading or studying, buy the best –
Many avoid spending a lot because they say they constantly lose them – My answer: use cheap ones when going out and the good one near where you read the most – When taking to the library be mindful and you’ll get them and yourself home safely – Keep the lenses clean by using the small cloth that’s made for that purpose – DO NOT use glass cleaners like Windex – The best is to use dishwashing liquids like Palmolive or Joy, pat dry with a soft cloth and shine with the aforementioned small eyeglass cleaning cloth (I think they’re microfiber) Actually, I just found a NY Times article by Nancy Reed dated Nov 5, 2020 entitled “How to Clean Your Glasses” (google it)- Who knew that this response would be so long, take so long to compose, and that google would have such an array of articles on keeping your eyeglasses clean – Its all in the details, I guess – details in granular form, no less – Thanks again Mary –

Mel, I’m from Brazil and I must tell you one thing: I love your work and your channel. I found it randomly one day some years ago. I liked the way you speak instantly. You seem calm, deep, full of ideas and creativity. I imagine yourself as the type of soul who came to world to help people somehow fight their strives and find themselves in this chaotic and busy reality. This is what I believe a writer is made for, a dreamer who can teach other people how they can dream too. A person who is capable to give life to those who feel empty of it.
Your imagination and lines has already reached South America and I expect to go even further. But one thing I say to you: don’t worry about spcefic results, just flow with the process. You’ll achieve exactly what is written for you. And always remember: you’re already amazing. Oh, you really are.

I am currently writhing, and this playlist just makes me feel so happy, but relaxed at the same time. To whoever is listening to this right now, whatever you are trying to work on right now, just know that you CAN do this!! We all believe in you and know that you have it in you.

  4. hi

to whoever is writing a book out there: you WILL complete it (if you want to!), i believe in you. just keep on writing and reach for the stars 😀
edit: i’ve just finished reading through all 101 replies of you guys thanking me and telling me about your own books. they all sound fantastic and i, for one, would be very excited to read your books when i find them in the book shop. much love is being sent to you guys, good luck in your future. i cant WAIT to see each and every one of your names printed on the cover of your book, whether it be about a world from your fantasies, a heartwarming book about achieving your best or a thrilling murder mystery — i believe in every one of you. because, if your favourite author can do it… why can’t you? wishing the best luck to everyone who reads this comment, everyone who watches this video and everyone who wishes to write a book. i believe in you, so stop reading this comment and write that book!! i’d love to hear about it in the comments below, but first, get writing! finish that chapter, rewrite that draft, finish your character description… whatever it is, there’s no better time than now!

@kalimbean Thank you! I’ve sort of hit some writers block with it, but I hope that I’ll be able to write more in the summer. Plus, I’m trying to get some music to listen to, and I’ve found some that may have given me inspiration. Also, I have a plot twist planned, so be on the look out for that!

    2. Tamara Niefergall

@Reem Adel because the characters do not fit the genre anymore. But i can stop writing my book now , a similar book has been published. Where nearly everything of what i wrote was written down.

I’m struggling with writing anxiety and this playlist put me in emotional unknown feelings of a missing parts of a memory
And I’m trying to put these peace’s together to make a world that makes humans feel alive . Wish luck for everyone

I love the message at the beginning. First time I’ve ever heard someone say something before the music starts. I like it, it makes me feel like it’s a much more personalized experience. I feel…..cared for ? god bless everyone, and I hope your problems have quick resolves. I used to think the only people that wrote these comments were a bunch of weirdos. I was like “ok, guy….” But after going through life a bit and witnessing its pains, I understand their comments come from a compulsion inside them. I know now cuz I feel it too. Blessings to this creator and anyone who reads!

  7. delicious

I have adhd and it is extremely hard for me to read. this playlist made me read an entire book in a few hours!! it may not sound like too much of an achievement, reading a book, but I’ve never read a full book just on my own. thank you so much for this playlist! it really helped me focus!

  8. Mae Jones

I love this playlist because the music doesn’t really have a beat so I can’t get carried away making up words or drumming on my desk. I made a whole planning doc for a book I’m writing in like under 10 minutes!

  9. River Faith

I was working on writing a book with a lot of dark themes. I needed some music to help focus but I couldn’t right a horror scene while listening to a guitar and birds. This playlist was very helpful with its calm/neutral vibe, so thanks for making it!

  10. Husna Liyana

I am longing to be like the girl in that picture, just floating away carelessly in a body of water with gentle waves, listening to the sound of flowing water, rustling leaves and wind chime on a windy day, under the shade of a lush tree, minus the book ☺️

  11. Creative vibEz

I do homeschool and my sister needed to talk to my mom about something I was getting upset because they were talking so loud I put my headphones in and listened to this I play this everyday and it calms my nerves now I can focus on my work I’ve listened to this three times so far the whole way through tysm for making this it’s my fav calming/studying music to listen to!
