  1. I hate chuuya

It was the summer again. The humid hair was causing Nihulia’s short hair to curl up . She was already running late ,but again punctuality was never her thing . She checked the stolen pocket watch and cursed as it read half past three. Cursing was her favourite hobby afterall. She even sworn , much to the dislike of the King and Queen Ashburoeith , that she would make cursing compulsory in her kingdom when she was the queen because why should she shut up just for the sake of men ?

She gathered she skirts and ran faster through the narrow road , pushing past the people of her kingdom who failed to recognise her due to her dressing unrealistically shabby . Nihulia was wondering about how much trouble she was gonna be in…

Suddenly a hand shot out of from the narrow side street and yanked on her collar.

“What in the name of Votus.. ” She quickly turned around and caught hold of her attacker’s hand when she felt that familiar voice in her ears .

” You are late again “

It’s dark outside and I am listening to this while writing an essay on classical German literature, sipping hot tea among the flickering candles. Finding the beauty in what I do is the only reason I am motivated to do it.

  4. AllIWantIsFinancialStability

“The dark is empty; most of our heroes have been wrong” I actually got curious about this quote and looked it up, belongs to author Charles Bukowski. Apparently he was drunk just about all the time, but my favorite interpretation of the quote was “The dark is empty could be implying that they didn’t find their villains in the shadows, and paired with the second half, it makes me think of how EVERYONE thinks they’re the hero. Conclusion: The majority of people who thought they were heroes were actually the villains”

    1. AllIWantIsFinancialStability

@Nasia Kapa I personally interpret it as we fear the darkness, and our heroes rallied us to fight against the unknown darkness which they say contains a monster. Only for us to find it was empty and we were just played and tricked by our “heroes” who only sought to control us

    2. Nasia Kapa

i personally see it like: the dark is empty – society has associated darkness with evil, with villains for that matter. it being empty could symbolize how society’s concept of immorality is subjective and even flawed. there is no “good” and “evil” in real life and thats why our “heroes”, the people who we think are great, have been wrong.

    3. BrownCat WithBlurredBackground

Genghis Khan and Pancho Villa, and the Trischitti gang, their god complex, their rapes emotionally and physically. Not heroes to me either though the Ts think they are leading me in the right direction, it is to my death.

I know basically nothing about ballet, but have played piano for like 9 years now. You never get tired of so good, deep, interesting music. Just maybe a bit with a specific piece you just can’t play properly, but that’s it.

So do I ! Aaaah… Please is there anyone on Earth who would like to please me ? Does anyone would like to paint me all the colours I want ? Does anyone would like to describe me the world we’re living in by reading poems or listening to classical songs ? Please, I need it as a necessary dream I could count on !

    1. mjp152

The vast majority of people living when this music was written would be categorized as living in abject poverty by todays standards. That notion of beauty and poetry is something us modern types project back when we cherrypick only the very best things that have been passed down over the centuries. Generally speaking you have never had better opportunities to appreciate poetry and beauty than the present. Platforms such as YT even makes it possible to monetize it to a degree than was unthinkable just thirty years ago.

    2. h g

I don’t think world has ever been truly poetic, it’s just some people, whole generations of artists who made it look this way and I believe we also have the capability to bring the mysterious poetic reality to our everyday life

@vamphobia The tropes you re-iterate are really quite meaningless. Little to no statistical backing or consideration of widely different circumstances and context in different areas and periods, just negative stereotypes about the past being given precedent over all other factors. Besides, if you clearly prioritise the interests/wellbeing of your own group why aren’t we entitled to do the same? Hate crime against my group is actually rising and we’re increasingly under target for just existing – our group interests and advocacy have no meaningful representation in political or cultural spheres – so yes we may rightfully view parts of the past as better for us and on that basis wish to return to it, but obviously we would not exceed reasonable measures.

Just because someone likes part of the past doesn’t mean they want to oppress you, that’s such a narcissistic presumption. If someone praises the Mongol Empire or the Zulus do you say “but what about meh”???

  5. ?????? ?. ?

Nobody asked me but I really want to say this… the first song makes me cry, ¿why? Maybe it can be stupid but that song remembers me of someone, of someone who I loved with all my heart and soul. One day he texted me and said to me “Look, I filmed me playing the piano, the song is really beautiful” I saw it and I was so in love of how he plays the piano and I always see the video, spend hours and hours looking and hearing a video of 2 minutes of him playing the piano… now that he finally showed his true face, all the beautiful things I did for him, he never saw it… I forced myself to get over him, he never noticed that I adored him, I adored him like I never did before. Sry 4 dis, I just need to express how dis playlist makes me feel u.u

    1. Flocon Frost

Chopin is a specialist of emotional nocturnes and masterpieces in general. He once said he only wanted to paint how we can feel deep inside our soul. He’s not trying to invent some new art. That’s why it’s so moving to listen to him. I really feel like my heart is crying out too. That’s only because Chopin’s art is humble and truthfull

    2. Loubna Chakir

I never loved someone (refering to boyfriend) but I felt the same thing, I started to cry for no reasone, and its remeber me to someone (that i dont know who) and I love him too much but I can’t even text him or something like that. Such us an unknown person, but I same time like if I met him in somewhere.

I wish I could listen to Für Elise with new ears, ones that haven’t had to listen to it through the speakers of a house phone as hold music for hours on end. Only the main theme though of course. ?

    1. Abby xx

I ‘ve worked for a call center that has used Fur Elise as hold music for the past 4 years. I don’t take phone calls anymore so I don’t have to hear the hold music but it still kinda irritated me hearing. I was able to remedy that by just learning to play it on piano myself. Made listening to it interesting again

  7. Michael Swibes

In the Hall of the Mountain King……listening to this piece; I always envisioned a group of adventurers sneaking into a mountain castle of massive giant king, to steal their treasures and barely escaping with their lives. The build up, caught in the act and the chase.
